Metallic Loafers, inspired by Gucci.
I am every bit obsessed with the metallic Gucci loafers. Anything Gucci in fact, ever since Alessandro Michele was appointed the creative director of Gucci at the beginning of 2015. Everywhere you look there are front row bloggers and fashionistas donning the label’s horse-bit metallic loafers and Dionysus shoulder bag. But finally! For those who can’t spend £400 on a pair of silver snaffle loafers *cough* (me). There are plenty of alternatives… this time, I choose Primark. (Mine were £8)
It must be seriously irritating that for a billion dollar company like Gucci there is every high street brand, market stall and internet site selling dupes of their work. But for the fashion savvy, without the funds you can still get the look for a fraction of the price (just take a look at my favourites I selected at the bottom of this post!)
Matching metallics. I’m not the only one donning the metallics right now. Pepe has a matching collar. After all, she is the accessory that compliments every one of my outfits.
“Fashion is about creating emotion—it’s not necessarily rational” Which sums up what has been an incredible and successful year of fashion design for Gucci. We can still be inspired by fashion, after all… imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and take a look at these amazing Gucci dupes!
